FAQ for DOCTORS

Our team approach to dental treatment gives the patient all the care they need in one place, with one coordinator, and one person to answer all their questions.  Listed below are not the most frequently asked questions, but the hard ones to answer.  We invite you to ask questions so you can get to know what our practice promises to deliver.

Q:  How do you handle patient follow up?

A:  It is very important that you stay informed about your patients while they are in our care.  After every consultation a detailed report is sent to you.  We encourage you to call and speak with the doctor if you have any questions regarding the treatment plan.  Once treatment is completed another report is sent for your records.

Q:  Can I come and observe your work?

A:  We would be happy to have you in the office to observe a case that may interest you.   All that would be needed was a call to Kate, our office manager, to coordinate your schedules.

Q: Do you work with my patients dental insurance?

A:  Our office accepts a wide range of insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dentemax, MetLife, Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, Guardian and United Concordia.  We would love to speak to your patient and give them a complimentary benefit analysis.

Q:  What type of implant system do you use?

A:  All of the doctors at DSRO use the BioHorizion implant system.  If you are unfamiliar with this system any of our doctors would be happy to meet with you and give a presentation about it.

Q:  What’s needed to refer a patient to DSRO?

A:  We ask for a detailed referral slip telling us what your concerns are with the patient.  If they are coming to see the oral surgeon we ask for the most up to date panorex you have on file.  For all other doctors a current x-ray that pertains to the consult and periodontal charting if a periodontal consultation is needed.
